42nd Annual General Meeting |
|
|
|
On 11th June 2010, CA held its 42nd Annual
General Meeting (AGM) at Hong Kong Scout Centre on Scout Path,
Austin Road, Kowloon. 35 members and guests attend the AGM. In the
meeting, Chairman and Chief Executive of CA reported the work
process and achievements in the previous financial year to the
audience. CA members also elected the members of 42nd
Board of Directors (BoD). This year, Ms. Alice Chan Shuk Han
enrolled our BoD for the first time. Alice was an active member of
the former CA affiliate—Youth Environmental Action Group, and now
she is working in the education sector. After the meeting CA
members, BoD members and staff dined together and chatted about
conservation as well as other interesting topics. On the same day,
BoD endorsed the new office bearers in the 2010-2011 year. |

“Used Clothes Collection for the Environment
– School Recycling Day Prize Giving
Ceremony” cum Sharing Session of “Resource Conservation Ambassador” |

The “Used Clothes Collection for the Environment – School Recycling
Day Prize Giving Ceremony” cum Sharing Session of “Resource
Conservation Ambassador” was successfully held on 10th
July. Along the year, there were approximately 100 schools
participated in the programme and a total of 9165kg (about the
weight of two box-type single cab truck) of used clothes were
collected. In addition, 75 students from the schools became our
Resource Conservation Ambassador (RCA), and 29 of them were awarded
the title of Outstanding RCAs. The success of the above activities
is largely attributed to the devotion of the teachers and students.
We would like to again express our congratulations to the awarded
schools and students, and our gratitude to their active
participation of CA’s collection events last year. |
